Ethel and Raymond F. Rice Foundation
The Rice Foundation was established in 1972 by Mr. Rice to provide grants to tax exempt organizations that Mr. and Mrs. Rice supported during their lifetimes and to similar organizations serving the people of the State of Kansas and particularly those in Douglas County, Kansas. The education of young people was of prime importance to Mr. and Mrs. Rice and annual grants are made to several colleges and universities for scholarship programs. It is a private foundation.
Among its goals, programs and services, is the funding of cultural lectures, concerts and programming such as support of this project.
